My sister, Nancy Bond, passed away in 1997.  She had been researching our family history since the 1970's and had compiled a large amount of information (3 large boxes) intending to write a book about our family.   After her death, the information was passed on to me by her daughter, Cindy Price (Thank you, Cindy). I have been slowly entering it into the genealogy program on my computer.  Rather than write a book, I decided to make it available to everyone via the world wide web. Since I enjoy making web pages and scrapbooking, this has been a fun thing for me to do.  I hope that it is presented in a way that is enjoyable to you also and that the information will be useful to you in your quest.  It represents years of hard work by many people and my thanks goes to all who contributed to it. I have also included information on families that married into our family such as the Wood, Browning, Short, Hardwick, Scoggins, Varble and Elston families even though they are not our direct line.

SURNAME LIST

Since I started this web site many "cousins" and some not related to me have contacted me.  Many of them have given me wonderful information and pictures to share with anyone who comes upon this site.  I have tried to give credit to all of these people on the pages where the information or pictures have been added. Unfortunately, not everyone who enters these pages are kind or nice.  I've found that there is a fierce competitiveness among genealogists, especially in certain family lines.  What a shame! Fortuntely these people are in the minority.
